7th Annual WSPA Symposium…
will take place on March 20, 2017 at The Watergate Hotel – Washington DC
Turning a glamorous spa into a forum for wellness, the Washington Spa Alliance is set for its 7th Annual Symposium at The Watergate Hotel on Monday, March 20, 2017. The interactive day-long event, whose audience will include local, regional, national and international leaders in spa and allied disciplines, is themed “Connect, Engage, Deliver: How Spa is Fostering America’s Wellbeing Today.”
Legendary spa founder and wellness activist Deborah Szekely will challenge industry leaders to integrate wellness and healthcare. Presenters from a cross-section of America’s wellness and fitness industries will discuss how to implement new programs.
Chaired by veteran spa manager Kate Mearns, of 5 Spa Consulting, the gathering of spa leadership continues a national conversation designed to inspire the spa community to advance a human agenda of health and wellbeing. Washington Spa Alliance is a knowledge center, connecting spa professionals in the nation’s greater Capital region and throughout the United States. The group works to promote the exchange of ideas, education, and innovation in the field, and to ensure the highest spa ideals are met through policy and interaction.
Green Spa Network 2017 Buyers Conference…
will take place on March 26 – 29, 2017 at the Lodge & Spa at Callaway Gardens, Pine Mountain, GA
The GSN Buyers Conference is the industry’s only green buying event that hosts quality resource suppliers and interested buyers for three days of networking, one-on-one meetings, and sustainability education.
Each year the GSN Buyers Conference has been rated a “10” by both Buyers and Suppliers for its effectiveness, productivity and inspiration! The event offers invitation-only buyers access to unique and emerging green brands who are innovative, credible, and committed to greening at some level. The intention is to provide access to a wide range of eco-friendly and sustainable products, thus making it easier for spas to make better choices without compromising smart business.
“Everyone at GSN Buyers has a passion to positively impact our industry, a dedication to true intention behind their work, and a joy in connection with each other.”
– Sharon Ogawa, Director of Spa, Grand Wailea
Over the course of three days, attendees take part in 20 one-on-one meetings, fun and intimate networking events, and several presentations from thought leaders. The variety of face time opportunities creates a unique environment that encourages lifelong relationships between buyers and resource suppliers.
Most importantly, the GSN Buyers Conference is the top fundraiser for their non-profit association with all net proceeds directly benefitting GSN. Participation supports GSN’s ability to carry out their mission of educating and providing resources that promote greening and sustainability in the hospitality and spa industries.
