It happened on November 7th….
Jindilli proudly sponsored this beautiful initiative!
By bringing love and healing to people undergoing treatment for
cancer along with their caregivers, “Sparks of Light” Participants
donated four hours of treatments on November 7th, 2016.
Jindilli provided free product kits to the 56 spas nationwide who participated in the annual ‘Sparks of Light’ day organized by Vicky Weis, founder of Faye’s Light, on November 7, 2016. They even had a spa participate in Haiti! More than 500 cancer patients, or their caregiver, received FREE treatments. This was an increase from the 14 spas that were a part of last year’s inaugural event thanks to promotion by American Spa, Universal and Jindilli.
“The spa industry already understands the healing power of touch and the benefit of creating a warm, welcoming environment.” Vicky Weis said. “Because these spas stepped up, a unified movement in the field of unconditional love has been created.”
Many testimonies came through speaking of the unexpected impact Sparks of Light had on both the therapists giving and the guests receiving. Skin Apeel’s Owner Pamela McCasland from Arizona said, “I cannot even express how much of an honor it was to give treatments to cancer patients yesterday. I can’t wait to do this again next year!”
“What a gift to offer comfort and relaxation to those going through such a difficult time,” stated Joanne Maxwell Journey Massage and Spa Services, Pittsford, NY, “
We truly feel honored to be part of their journey.”
“The staff really enjoyed giving of their services and we were so moved by the whole day” said Courtney Powell, Spa Manager at Ona Ultimate Skincare, TN. “The products were wonderful and I will definitely be ordering.” Every spa who participated commented on the beautiful quality of Jindilli’s macadamia oil based products and loved providing their guests with the free gifts that Jindilli included in the kits.
The gentle, anti-inflammatory properties of macadamia oil make it immediately comforting and soothing to dry, inflamed skin, a common side effect of chemotherapy.
Jindilli was drawn to support the Sparks of Light movement after hearing Vicky speak at a Florida Spa Association event. Jindilli’s Director of Training, Lynille Steffenhagen partnered with Vicky Weis to provide an informative training webinar to participating spas teaching them how to deliver the treatments in the most compassionate and appropriate way.
Be sure to mark your calendars for the 3rd Annual Sparks of Light day, on Monday, November 2, 2017. Vicky Weis provides templates for invitations and simple step-by-step instructions on how to put the program in practice.
