Hi! I am Sairey Gernes and I started Urban Undercover with what is still one of our most beloved items; our Stow Away Underwear. Under wearables are the first items you put on when dressing, and if you don’t feel good in your foundations, nothing you layer on top, no matter the fabric, quality or design, will make you feel comfortable and confident like you should.
As the average size of American women, size 12/14, I couldn’t find underwear that was pretty, could withstand wear over time, fit well, and made me feel amazing. So I started designing my own, keeping in mind that not only does your underwear need to look, feel and fit better, they need to function better by traveling easily and discreetly. (Because I am always on the go, I found that keeping an extra pair of underwear handy and refreshing them is like having a cup of coffee; it makes me feel ready for anything). This thinking led me to developing the only underwear line with a small pocket that sits unnoticeably in the small of your back into which the underwear fold, allowing them to “Stow Away” and keep your bags (or drawers) clean and organized. And the unique design allows them to roll in such a way as to know which pair are clean and which are dirty. Our bestselling Stow Away Underwear will be getting a new and updated style this Spring, adding a leak-resistant liner, and we can’t wait to share them with everyone.
