Donna Mainiero, Spa Wellness & Fitness Director, The Club at Longboat Key, Longboat Key, Florida

Donna joined the Ocean Properties Opal Collection of Spa’s eight years ago at Jupiter Beach Resort.  While at Jupiter Beach Resort she developed a highly skilled team, which lead the resort and spa to being a top local destination.  Proving herself as a dedicated leader within the Opal Collection she took on the role as Regional Director of Spa’s.  Leading the East Coast Spa teams, offering operational, support and developing spa services that would enhance the resorts spa amenities.  Donna was also an integral part of the new hires process at Jupiter Beach Resort developing and coaching all new hires of the resort on guest services standards.  Encouraging the resort staff to maintain the resort’s 4 Diamond status, by creating “WOW” experiences to promote guest’s retention.  In August of 2020, in midst of the Covid Pandemic and the Opal Collection of East Coast Spa’s closed, she was offered the position of Spa Wellness & Fitness Director at Longboat Key Club and relocated to Sarasota, Florida.  Donna is looking forward to the next chapter of the Opal Spa’s branding the spas into being a “go to” destination for spa and wellness!!

Prior to joining the Opal Spa’s, Donna spent the early part of her career in retail.  Having a passion for beauty and fashion, she was lead to Limited Brands, working in the North East Region for the Express Brand.  While at Express she led the teams in the high revenue tier of the brand.  Due to her success in increasing store revenue and one of the top creative visual merchants her locations were often showcased throughout the region as an example of the brand.

After 10 years in retail and having much success, she decided to focus on her passion of beauty and wellness, joining the Spa team at The Breakers in Palm Beach. Proving herself as a top notch leader she was soon promoted to Assistant Hotel Manager.  A role she explains highlighted her vision of hospitality and the guest experience.

A true believer in giving back to the community Donna currently volunteer’s her time with H3-Hospitality Helping Hands, an organization created by leaders in the Palm Beach County hospitality community.  During the pandemic shut down of restaurants and other hospitality businesses, H3 was an integral part of feeding the Palm County Community.  During furlough Donna volunteered working the food drives, loading up to 2000 cars per day filling them with groceries.  She also worked with local farmers to harvest fruits and vegetables for the food drives. H3 is an extension of the Bahamas Relief Cruise, that immediately after Hurricane Dorian’s destruction of Grand Bahama Islands this same group of hospitality workers pulled together a team of volunteers to assist in aiding the Bahamian community.  Donna worked on several excursions to Grand Bahama, going into the neighborhoods delivering food, water and supplies.  Having a passion for the arts and music Donna is a committee member for Sunfest, an arts and music festival hosted in West Palm Beach.

In her free time, Donna enjoys the gift of family and friends and her four grandchildren are the best gift of all.  She enjoys the beach, boating, fishing, working out, traveling, reading, art and music, sports and a very good cabernet!
