On April 27th the Florida Legislature passed House Bill 245. This bill updates and modernizes the language in the massage therapy practice act (Chapter480). The only other change is the addition of the term assessment. It is defined in the bill as: “Massage therapy assessment” means the determination of the course of massage therapy treatment. Assessment will be further defined by the Florida Board of Massage Therapy through their rules making process during their quarterly board meetings.
