TAKING THE NATURAL COURSE
On The Green CBD is pioneering the use of natural hemp extracts to improve performance of the refined athlete
All sports performance is measured in fine margins. Every small improvement in performance can knock one or two strokes off your round of golf, or help you run that extra mile in record time. The products made by On The Green CBD can offer those improvements. The company was the brainchild of Nick Fishenden, a golf lover from England who moved to the US in 2008 to attend the Golf Academy of America, where he obtained his degree in Golf Management. Nick turned pro before a back injury ended his dream of a professional career, and he started working in the fledgling cannabidiol (CBD) industry. This takes cannabidiol, a compound extracted from hemp, and uses it to treat a wide range of conditions, from chronic pain to anxiety. In 2019, Nick put his two interests together and created On The Green CBD, a company that makes CBD products tailored specifically to meet the needs of golfers.
“With my background in golf and CBD, I was able to figure out what would be useful for the golfer,” says Nick. “Among our unique product range, we have three lines of tinctures – Focus, Recovery and Sleep. I use our products myself on a daily basis. The sleep tincture helps me get restful sleep every night and the roll-on cooling gel with menthol is within arm’s reach at all times as I constantly use that for my back pain. It has an immediate effect.”
As On The Green has researched the market and carefully developed its products it has become known as the Premier brand within the golf and fitness industry and the private Club market. Whish has led to the demand for our recently launched “Spa & Wellness” Collection, addressing the growing need for aspirational esthetics solutions, advancing skincare and spa education with the hottest trend in wellness! CBD, once thought of as the “Wild West” is now offered by luxury retailers such as Niemen Marcus and on the service menus at high-end spas and resorts around the globe. While CBD treatments and therapies are becoming mainstream, the esthetician’s knowledge when it comes to selecting the right terpenes and tinctures is critical for clients to derive optimal benefits from CBD.
On The Green CBD have been successful in developing two very complementary product collections “Golf & Fitness” and “Spa & Wellness” which are being carried in some of the most exclusive private clubs across America including; Admirals Cove, Kohler, American Club, Cherokee T&CC, Santa Lucia Preserve, Johnathan’s Landing and The Seagate Country Club to name just a few.
On The Green’s collection of popular products include sunblock, vegan gummies, chewing gum, soft gel capsules, arnica and turmeric relief cream, cooling gel, SLEEP, FOCUS & RECOVERY Tinctures, Manuka Honey Hand & Body lotion, Relaxing and Energizing massage oils, Body scrub & healing salve, with the Spa & wellness collection being available in both Back-Bar and retail sizes, with a menu of services and protocols carefully developed for the Spa.
On The Green CBD has been established as a prestige brand, with products endorsed by professional golfers such as Phil Golding, former winner of the French Open and who now plays on the senior tour and Scott Drummond, former winner of the Volvo PGA Championship at Wentworth. “We are a premium product with real authenticity,” says Nick. “We are being stocked ahead of larger CBD brands in specialist golf shops because we have a reputation of being exclusive and unique to golf & fitness.”
The Fishenden’s stress that On The Green CBD products do not contain THC, the cannabinoid that induces the psychoactive high associated with cannabis. Instead they mix high-quality CBD with other terpenes – the naturally occurring chemicals in plants used to manufacture essential oils. As a result, CBD was removed from the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) banned substances list in early 2018.
