Rizia Parker, Director of Spa, The Ritz-Carlton, Miami Beach, FL
Rizia, a qualified Somatologist, which is the study and science of the human body as a branch of Anthropology started her career in the spa industry over 10 years ago as the Owner and Spa Manager at the Cape Town Hollow Boutique Hotel in Cape Town, South Africa. She quickly moved on to becoming a Spa Manager at the Anantara Hotels, Resorts and Spas in Bazaruto Island, Mozambique for over 2 years. In 2015 Rizia joined the Ritz-Carlton family, taking on the role of Director of Spa and Recreation at The Nile Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Cairo Egypt. In 2017 Rizia was offered the opportunity of Spa Manager at the Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants in the Cayman Islands and within 8 months was promoted to Spa Director due to her hard work and exceptional leadership skills. Her professionalism and experience in spa management and operations landed her the role of Director of Spa at The Ritz- Carlton, Miami Beach this past year. Rizia now resides in Miami and we are thrilled to have the pleasure of her involvement in our spa community.
With her experience and skill in Somatology, she is well versed in assisting people on improving their general wellness and aesthetic appearance through information and practice of healthy life style habits, product use and spa treatments, which makes her a valuable asset as a spa leader.
In her spare time, when not working, you can find Rizia chasing her daughter Sara (almost 2 years old) to play games, read and get some quality snuggles in. Rizia also has a passion for cooking. You can find her in her kitchen cooking up some culinary delights for her family while enjoying listening to music, preferably Elton John.
