Caroline Wilmot – Spa Director mySpa, Intercontinental Hotel, Miami
Born in Hastings, England, a true Brit, Caroline began her Career in Spa & Wellness as a Group Exercise Instructor who then worked in retail sales for a number of years honing her sales skills. However fitness was her passion so she left England in her early 20”s for a Career with Steiner International on board the Carnival Cruise Lines. After extensive traveling for 3 years she landed back in London working with Holmes Place Health Club, a gym that transformed a fitness trend into a lifestyle that combines health and glamour.
In 2001 Caroline moved to the US where she assisted with the launch of opening Holmes Place Health Club in Chicago. Within a short time, WTS International presented Caroline with the opportunity to open The Spa at Trump International Hotel & Tower, A Trump Collection Hotel in Chicago as the Membership and Operations Director, where she effectively built the brand for nearly 8 years. Caroline was responsible for presale membership sales and developing outreach programs to build relations with Corporate and Residential communities. She successfully grew private membership to 250 Members and 1 million in revenue annually in membership dues and services. She also exceeded 5 million annually in service and retail revenue.
In August of 2015 Caroline moved to Florida to take on the position of Spa Director at Playa Largo Resort and Spa, an Autograph Collection in Key Largo where she developed their spa concept for this new luxury spa. The spa opened successfully and achieved the #2 Spa position out of 29 Autograph Collection Spa’s within the first 4 weeks of opening. Within less than 2 years, Caroline exceeded her first 5 months in both retail and service goals in addition to achieving a Forbes Four-Star/Four Diamond rating.
Caroline’s accomplishments continued moving onto her new role as Spa Director at MySpa, Intercontinental Hotel Miami, a WTS International property. Presently Caroline, a skillful and highly valued team leader oversees spa operations, revenue management, sales & marketing, recruitment, team training, purchasing, and building relationships with Community as well as developing new membership opportunities,
Caroline has proven herself to be an esteemed front-runner with a stellar record and reputation in spa operations and building spa brands. There are no limits to what Caroline is able to achieve and do it successfully.
In her personal life, when not working, Caroline loves to travel and adores connecting with people that have similar passions. She mostly spends her days off with her devoted husband and her lovable fur baby “Bobby the dog”, a big 80 pounds Boxer Mix. As a true believer in health and wellness Caroline loves walking, running, cycling as well as all and any outdoor activities.
