We were very excited to say “Cheers” as we set the New Year in motion…..literally, at the Quantum Leap Winery in Orlando. Celebrating the FSA’s 10th Anniversary we revisited lasts years venue at the innovative winery in Downtown Orlando, acknowledging our gratitude for our vendors partners and spa community that unite our Florida family! Dressed in colors of favorite wines, Red, White or Rose’, our attendees experienced priceless connections made between vendors and spas while networking and building valuable relationships and opportunities that will be enduring.

The exhibit was held in the midst of the winery warehouse among steel and oak barrels of wine, the venue couldn’t have been more unique and fun for all our attendees. We had leading edge vendor partners that exhibited new and exciting products as they connected with spa guests, providing them with knowledge on up to date brand advancements along with generous samples and gifts.

Embracing our core value in wellness and education, we were proud to have our FSA Senior, Suzanne Holbrook, the Senior Corporate Director for Spa Operations at Marriott International as our featured speaker. Her topic, titled “You expect Me to Sell?” was focused on the importance of getting spa employees to get on board with selling retail and addressing providers to up-sell retail during spa services. It included expectations, accountability and incentives for team leaders and spa providers. included in this presentation Kris Hiskey, Spa Director for the Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota, collaborated in the importance of vendor partnerships and how they enhance spa business when employing their training expertise and support regarding their brand.

Following our notable presentation, we broke into 4 interactive think tanks which included spa guests covering the topics: Expense of licenses (State, County, City), Therapist Compensation, Current license requirements in the state of Florida and Employee development (how to retain & engage staff. Spa leaders were collectively involved in their think tanks.

Raving compliments were expressed by all guests for our catered lunch which included mouth watering Field of Greens with Cranberries, Sweet-n-Spicy Cashews, Bleu Cheese & Honey Vinaigrette, Roasted Acorn Squash stuffed with Caponata, Pan Roasted Chicken Breast with a Lemon Chive Butter Sauce, Grilled Teriyaki Salmon with Mango & Passion Fruit Topping, Grilled Vegetable Platter with Zucchini, Yellow Squash, Asparagus & Red Peppers and Quinoa Salad with Roasted Yellow Beets and Radicchio. Dessert was Greek Panna Cotta with Vanilla Honey & Berries. We couldn’t resist sharing this delicious mouth-watering spread that we all relished!!

Our spas marveled at generous raffle gifts that were won, provided by our vendor partners. A very happy lucky winner went home with the grand prize, an Apple watch, sponsored by Majestic International.

Our event concluded with wine tasting and a lip-smacking Charcuterie to compliment the choice of wines we selected. Quantum Leap Winery offers the freshest wines from around the world.
