On May 8th the FSA held its 2nd annual event captivated by seaside elegance at the beautiful Seagate Hotel & Spa and proudly launched “THE SOURCE”. Further expanding its commitment to the Spa community in Florida, the FSA has created a platform to keep spa operators and professionals informed of State and Local guidelines, laws and regulations. In addition, as the formal education arm for the association, “The Source” will present industry relevant knowledge through articles and data available on the newly designed FSA website. To formally launch this new program, speaker Shannon Bryson, Admissions Manger from The AVEDA Institute spoke to the event attendees on “Staying Compliant and Influencing the Future of Regulations”. This presentation can be found on the FSA website under “The Source” and is the first of many presentations to come branded under “The Source”.
All attendees enjoyed a healthy gourmet plated lunch set in an oceanfront atmosphere creatively decorated with vibrant fish swishing around in fishbowl centerpieces during the presentation. In addition, stunning gifts were placed on every seat for all our guests, compliments of the Seagate Spa.
As with most FSA events, the vendor showcase was a feature of the day. Vendor members presented their prestigious brands, while spa leaders and suppliers networked, building valuable relationships and creating long-term business opportunities. We were pleased to present several new vendors to our members, along with some new product launches. Spas also experienced pampering facials, compliments of esteemed skin care brands. The vendor supporters of the FSA are the finest in the industry and are a key part of the association’s success and future.
Closing out the day, guests enjoyed our traditional networking event with a wide variety of wine, cheese and gourmet bites provided by The Seagate Resort under a magnificent sunset. No event is complete without networking and connecting with new and familiar spa friends. The event was so enjoyable that the fun-loving group continued the merriment with a stroll down the hip Delray Beach block for a “Street Crawl” to some of the local hot spots in search of well-earned libations and camaraderie that sets the FSA apart. Loads of laughs topped off a day of social business building, education and networking as we toasted to a successful event!
