Florida Spa Association (FSA) launches The Source, a comprehensive web-based platform for members to access pertinent Florida Spa Industry regulations, guidelines and updates.

The platform will allow for a convenient, central location for FSA members to access up to date information including changes in licensing and educational requirements, salon and massage establishment regulations, and leading industry trends. Spa operational “Need to Knows” will assist spa leaders in navigating the ever-changing Florida Spa industry and in staying abreast of key trends.  The goal is to support members, ensuring the highest focus on guest experience and satisfaction, employee support and engagement and a successful spa business operation.

“With dedicated research and groundwork, the Florida Spa Association is proud to launch The Source,” said Ilana Moses, Founder & CEO of the Florida Spa Association. “We had a vision to be at the pulse of every movement, of every edge, of every trend and bring forth such substance to our Florida Spa Association members.”

The unveiling of The Source took place at FSA’s “Seaside Elegance in Delray “event at The Seagate Hotel & Spa, in Delray Beach, Florida on Tuesday, May 8, 2018.  The full-day event featured a keynote presentation from Shannon Bryson, Admissions Manager of Aveda Institute South Florida and a vendor showcase for Spa professionals to learn, grow and network with key vendors of spa products and services.

“Our Spa & Wellness Education agenda is a vital part of our FSA philosophy in order to bring value and knowledge to our membership base and grow the spa profession in Florida” says Linda Higgs, Vice Chair FSA Advisory Board.  “From best practices, to wellness topics to industry updates, the FSA strives to be THE SOURCE for Spa & Wellness Education”.

The platform is driven by key Contributors of FSA, including the FSA Wellness and Education Committee, Spa Leaders, Florida beauty and spa educational institutions and leading health, beauty and wellness experts. A huge part of FSA’s success in identifying Florida spa professional needs is due to the active involvement of Spa Leaders in the organization’s mission and objectives. “Being part of the FSA is extremely valuable and fulfilling. The focus, events and initiatives, such as The Source, help me do my job more effectively, help me support my team in providing the best service and help me run a successful spa operation” Jenna Laramee, Spa Director and FSA Advisory Board member.

Florida Spa Association, founded in 2008 is a network of spa professionals unified by the desire to promote Florida as the finest destination for wellness and beauty experiences in the country. Members including spa operational leaders, health, fitness and wellness experts and service and product manufacturers and distributors from across Florida work together, focused on the progressive FSA mission.
