An Event to Remember…. The FSA Inner Circle.

by | Nov 13, 2017 | Past Events

Our event at Nobu Eden Roc was a new and exciting format that offered a unique way for the FSA to connect our vendors and spa leaders.  Just like the Nobu philosophy that everything comes around “full circle” and your staff is like your family, the FSA “Inner Circle” event was intended to express the same.  The inner circle is not meant to be a clique, but a means of acceptance as being a member of our community and having a sense of belonging.  The FSA is a family and that’s what we embrace.

The exhibition area was filled with round tables where vendors were able to sit and meet with spa leaders for one-on-one discussions regarding the brands they represent. “Connections in the Round” did just that. Both vendors and spa attendees commented on an efficient and enjoyable round table format.  Vendors expressed that they would have had to travel many miles over many months to gain the opportunity to meet one-on-one as they did at this event. Spa attendees equally benefited from this format.  We were happy to announce that many new vendors attended, as well as many new spas that had never experienced an FSA event.

Our feature presentation, the “Culinary Art of Wellness,” was a focus on wellness and nutrition. What a better way to connect us to the importance of what we put inside us!  Our keynote speaker and moderator, Linda Gassenheimer, TV & Radio Personality, sydicated journalist, New York Times best selling author, and spokesperson for the American Diabetes Association, lead a stellar panel presentation consisting of Marissa Ciorciari, Registered Dietitian and Licensed Nutritionist, Teena Borek, Farmer with Expertise in Technology, Management and Community Supported Agriculture, and Jacquely Burch, General Manager for Malibu Farms, soon to be opened at Eden Roc (who provided our lunch, which was not only healthy, but scrumptious).

We were excited to have raised a significant amount of money from this event to donate to the United Way of the Florida Keys and the Hispanic Federation for Puerto Rico, spearheaded by Tony award-winning writer and Puerto Rican native, Lin Manuel Miranda.  This was our way of completing the circle between the FSA vendors, spa attendees, and our greater FSA family.

Our event ended with a moonlit cocktail reception at the spa terrace overlooking the majestic ocean waves as we drank a signature cocktail provided by Malibu Farms along with our mutual enjoyment of great company and fine wines.
