The FSA kicked off their New Year with an art-themed event, “The Fine Art of Spa,” which was held at the Orlando Museum of Art, voted the best museum in Orlando. Adding art, education, and culture into the program was inspirational, to say the least.  With the focus on art as our theme, we embraced art on many different levels. “The Fine Art in Spa” represented the variety of brands that were present, the art in spirituality and self-awareness, the art in networking and relationship-building, the art in food, and so on.   There is an art to everything we do!

Starting the day with an extraordinary expo consisting of 25 vendors that displayed an assortment of spa brands, our spa guests had the opportunity to connect with exclusive top-of-the-line products, as well as network with spa leaders and friends.  Deluxe swag bags sponsored by Farmhouse Fresh Goods were handed out and a variety of products, goodies, and samples were generously offered by our vendors.

A Gastro gourmet lunch buffet was served during the expo and enjoyed by all attendees.  The food was fresh and sumptuous, and highly artistic in its presentation.  Hydra Facial delivered a short presentation during the expo on the benefits of their high-tech, HydraFacial and Perk machines to reverse the signs of aging, while Esthechoc presented their unique, delicious chocolates that are beneficial to the health of the skin.

The General Session, which was held in the museum’s illustrious theater, commenced with a welcome from FSA and the business director of the Orlando Museum of Art, followed by a cinematic display of molten glass creations by Dale Chihuly.  “The Light Within You ” meditation in the dark was presented by Tia Crystal and had everyone in a deep trance as she articulated the creation of a world through the eyes of possibilities through a passion for life and love. Our Keynote speaker, Leigh Weinraub, truly moved and inspired the audience with her topic of “The Art of a Mind in Motion.” Her message… “Turn your dynamic energy and passion into deep transformative change!” “Keep moving, keep breathing, keep looking within.”

An unexpected and surprise honor was awarded to Ilana Moses, Founder and CEO of the Florida Spa Association, for being the first to win the “Florida Spa Association Visionary Award Winner for 2017,” and she was genuinely stunned and grateful.  This new Annual Award program of recognition will be the start of FSA awards that will be presented to a voted winner each year for a variety of achievements derived within the spa community.

Following our General Session, guests experienced astounding art collections in the galleries during the guided art tours led by Museum docents.
