Location: Turnberry Isle Miami Spa, Miami, FL
The FSA ended the year with their “Miami Spa Life” and the “Future of Spa” event on October 11th, at the newly renovated Turnberry Isle Miami Spa. The day-long event, which was attended by more than 100 spa enthusiasts, was all about the future in spa equipment, cutting-edge services and networking with our Florida spas and vendors. Our guests experienced an outstanding vendor expo consisting of 30 spa companies from fitness to jewelry, skin care, body care, bath robes, and spa supplies. Spa guests enjoyed a pampering 30-minute facial coupled with a 30-minute body treatment. One of the many highlights of the day was an eye-opening presentation on Spa Renovations titled, “After the Storm,” given by Jeffrey Klein, General Manager at Turnberry. Jeffrey covered crucial topics regarding renovations and tips on working through challenges. His keynote presentation was informative and very engaging. Coincidentally, this event took place literally “After the Storm.” Florida had just experienced Hurricane Matthew, but we still managed to have an exceptional event. Prior to Jeffrey’s presentation, Tammy Pahel, Spa Director for Turnberry Isle Spa, along with David Gonzalez, owner of the Institute of Functional Performance, spoke about Cultivating Your Spa Leaders and offered opportunity for the education seminars. This presentation took place during a mouthwatering and healthy first-class banquet-style FSA lunch. In addition to the traditional cocktail hour at the end of the day, Tammy Pahel and the FSA organized a “Sip & Shop” program at the spa to allow accessory vendors to showcase their products and sell to our spa guests. Many products were offered to guests and a Spa Trip to Colorado was the Grand Raffle Prize, powered by The Spa Buzz.
