A spa and retail leader with 13 years of experience at the Setai, a Forbes Five-Star Luxury Hotel and Spa, Laura has had an extensive record of training and an enormous knowledge of retail and spa brands located in markets across the Americas, Europe, and Asia. Her passion for training and motivating her team to increase product, treatment sales, and revenue has resulted in her success as a leader. Laura has strong business affiliations and partnerships with vendors, trainers, and business leaders and has built rock-solid relationships within the spa medium. Her passion in hospitality has exceeded her ability to be a results-driven and strong team trailblazer. Laura’s extensive understanding of spa operations enables all her guests to enjoy a luxury experience when visiting her spa.
Laura’s first job in hospitality started with the Setai in 2004, as a student, while she was attending Florida International University and studying hospitality. Graduating with a Bachelors in Hospitality Management and Master’s Degree in International Business Management, Laura’s career has evolved from Front Desk Manager to Spa Director at the Setai. She has truly established herself as a major asset to the Setai family.
Laura is also recognized for winning Spa Leader of the Year (Annual Leadership Award) in 2013, and also Spa Director of the Year (1st Annual Leadership Award) in 2011, from the Greater Miami and the Beaches Hotel Association.
Laura loves to travel and has had the opportunity to travel as a function of her job. Exploring the eastern region of the world, she has visited countries such as Thailand, Singapore, and Bali and has had the occasion to learn from the arts and culture of these regions.
Laura is married and enjoys spending time with her husband and baby girl, Kaia, who is 2 years old. She loves to cook and experience the culinary delights from many different cultures. Laura also loves reading, especially stories to her little girl.
